The World Economic Forum 2023 announced the joining of Mohammad bin Abdullah Al Gergawi

The WEF Leadership Council, which consists of 13 members from different nations, has welcomed Mohammad bin Abdullah Al Gergawi, Minister of Cabinet Affairs, to its ranks.

The Council will be a crucial institutional community that serves as a sounding board for the Forum’s long-term strategy and aids in its ability to play a particular role as an annual platform that promotes business growth and establishes international cooperation and dialogue. This role is one of acting as a non-formal but effective global bridge-builder.

Al Gergawi emphasised that the UAE’s participation in the WEF for more than 20 years reflects the country’s pioneering role. Under the leadership of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, who seeks to maximise the UAE’s global role in achieving prosperity and development in the world, the country was able to solidify its position as a global hub for positive future change.

The UAE’s valuable participation in international forums and platforms, according to Al Gergawi, reflects the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai, which aim to strengthen the nation’s position as a key participant in efforts around the world to address economic, social, and environmental challenges.

Today in Davos, Switzerland, the Forum wrapped up its annual gatherings for 2023 by hosting the inaugural meeting of the WEF Leadership Council, which brings together some of the most well-known names in business and finance from around the world.

One of the most significant international forums for generating and defining visions and strategies for the benefit of humanity and assisting in ensuring a prosperous future for both the present and future generations is the World Economic Forum.
